Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka, National President of the Ohaneze Youth Council Worldwide, has issued a scathing critique of the members of the Imo State House of Assembly, describing them as lacking in constitutional knowledge and demonstrating gross incompetence.

Igboayaka expressed his shock over a letter of summons from the Imo State House of Assembly to the publisher of WATCH DOG NEWSPAPERS. The summons was in response to a publication alleging that Mr. Ikenna Ihezuo, the Assembly member representing Orlu State constituency, had diverted palliative materials intended for his constituency.

He condemned the Assembly as a “mere college of illiterates,” “hungry political elements,” and “shenanigans,” accusing them of being sycophants of Governor Hope Uzodimma. Igboayaka argued that their actions were an illegal attempt to suppress freedom of speech and reflected a profound lack of political education.

Igboayaka advised Mr. Ihezuo to seek legal recourse if he believed he had been defamed, rather than using the Assembly to intimidate the press. He emphasized that the legislators were elected to perform oversight functions and make laws, not to punish alleged lawbreakers. Igboayaka dismissed the Assembly members as self-serving and encouraged the publisher of WATCH DOG NEWSPAPERS to ignore the summons and continue his work.
