An Area Court in Jos has sentenced Isah Abubakar and Abdulrazak Salihu to three months in prison for public fighting and creating a nuisance.

Judge Shawomi Bokkos handed down the sentence after the two men pleaded guilty to the charges. The judge also offered them the alternative of paying a N10,000 fine each instead of serving the jail term.

Police prosecutor Inspector Monday Dabit informed the court that the Laranto police station received reports about the fight between the two men behind the St Augustine Major Seminary. During the investigation, both Abubakar and Salihu admitted to the offense.
