The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Yusuf Adenoyin, who was found in possession of eight dried human skulls and fresh human flesh. The arrest took place at Isua-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area.

SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the spokesperson for the command, explained that officers at the Isua-Epinmi checkpoint were conducting routine checks when one of the passengers fled. The police pursued and apprehended him, discovering the grisly contents—eight dried human skulls, fresh human flesh, and charms—wrapped in a polythene bag and concealed in a sack of garri.

Adenoyin, 31, confessed that he was transporting the items to herbalists. He also admitted to having supplied seven human skulls before his arrest.

The police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend Adenoyin’s accomplices.
