A 30-year-old Nigerian pilgrim gave birth to a baby boy named Mohammed at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Makkah during the current Hajj season. This is the first birth recorded among pilgrims this year.

The pilgrim, who was 31 weeks pregnant, was admitted to the hospital’s emergency department after experiencing labor pains. Emergency doctors promptly attended to her and transferred her to the maternity ward, where she delivered the baby naturally.

Both mother and child are in good health. However, the newborn, being premature, is receiving special care.
