The New Umuaka Project Initiative (NUPI) will conclude its empowerment project on Friday, June 28th, 2024.
The empowerment initiative began with a capacity-building lecture held on Friday, June 14th. The youths were educated on financial literacy, content and copywriting, software engineering skills, and business development. The lecture took place at the Crusade Hall in Umuaka.
During the event, the former Global Administrator of NUPI, Dr. Austin Chidi Agbahiwe, delivered a keynote address focusing on financial literacy and ways to achieve financial stability. Deborah Chinonyerem Uzoma discussed content and copywriting and provided examples related to the youths’ skills in online advertising. Director of Eneltech, Sylvester Edet . E, taught software engineering and its benefits for businesses.
On the day of the empowerment, lectures on video editing, graphic design, investments, trending businesses, mini importation, animation, and UI will be handled by Mr. Chimnemezu Nwaeze, Chukwubuikem Felix Amaefule, and Ogidi Victor I.
The event will be graced by distinguished personalities from across the state, and successful business proposals from Akalites will receive funding to boost their businesses and skills.
