Former presidential aide Doyin Okupe has proclaimed President Bola Tinubu as the best among the 2023 presidential candidates. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Okupe asserted that Tinubu surpasses Labour Party’s Peter Obi and PDP’s Atiku Abubakar in terms of capability and commitment.
Okupe stated, “Let me tell you, of all the people that actually ran for President in 2023, by the benefit of hindsight, Bola Tinubu is the best.” He highlighted his personal experiences, noting his familiarity with Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku.
Reflecting on his observations, Okupe emphasized Tinubu’s unparalleled capability, dedication, and knowledge. He added, “I have not seen him in the last 7 to 8 years, that is not the point but he is the best in terms of capability, commitment and knowledge.”
In the 2023 presidential election, Tinubu emerged victorious, defeating both Atiku and Obi to secure the presidency.
