In a shocking turn of events, gunmen have kidnapped Mrs. Ogunbunmi, a pregnant woman from Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. She was on her way to the state hospital in Ijaiye for delivery when she was taken.
Her husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef, received a WhatsApp message from the kidnappers, notifying him of her abduction. The incident was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who stated that the case has been reported to the police.
“One Ogunbunmi Lateef of Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta reported that his pregnant wife, who was due for delivery, left home for the state hospital in Ijaiye, Abeokuta. He later received a WhatsApp message confirming her abduction by unknown armed men,” Odutola said.
The police are investigating the incident and are appealing for any information that could help secure Mrs. Ogunbunmi’s safe return.
