A woman named Zara was reportedly stabbed to death by two men in a hotel room in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The incident occurred on Sunday night.

Sources indicate that an argument broke out between Zara and the men, leading to one of them stabbing her with scissors multiple times, including in her stomach. A local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that Zara was a commercial sex worker.

“We woke up to the news of a commercial sex worker being killed in a hotel in Kubwa. An argument occurred between her and the two men, and she was stabbed in seven different places,” the resident recounted.

FCT police spokesperson Josephine Adeh confirmed the arrests. “The FCT Police Command received a distress call from Galaxy Hotel Byazhin that two men, Maman Ajiya and Usman Lawal, lodged in the hotel with Zara Tua. A disagreement led to Zara being stabbed with scissors,” Adeh stated.

Upon receiving the report, officers from the Byazhin Police Division were dispatched to the scene. They found Ajiya beaten by a mob and rushed both the victim and suspects to Kubwa General Hospital, where Zara was pronounced dead by doctors. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
