A woman in Ondo State, Omolara, is under investigation after allegedly killing her husband due to suspicions of infidelity. Eyewitnesses reported that the couple had been frequently quarrelling over the husband’s extramarital affairs.
The tragic incident occurred when Omolara, in a fit of rage, allegedly smashed her husband’s head with a pestle upon discovering he was still involved with a side chick. Neighbors, who heard the husband’s cries, rushed him to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
After the attack, Omolara went to the local police station to report her husband’s death. The community leader from Ibaka and the Seriki Musulumi have been informed about the incident, which has shocked the local community.
Funmi Odunlami, the spokesperson for the state police command, confirmed that Omolara reported the incident but could not yet confirm if she was responsible for her husband’s death. “We have not made any arrests, but an investigation is underway,” she stated.
Odunlami assured that police detectives are diligently working to uncover the truth behind the husband’s death and bring the perpetrator to justice.
