Wikki Tourists, a prominent side in the Nigeria National League, have announced the dismissal of their head coach, Azeez Audu, following the team’s failure to secure a spot in the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs. The club confirmed the decision through their official X handle.

The club’s statement highlighted the need for a change in leadership to realign with their high ambitions and commitment to excellence. “After careful consideration and review of our season, the club has decided to terminate the contract of our Technical Adviser (Head Coach), Mr. Azeez Audu, effective immediately,” the statement read.

Audu’s departure comes as a consequence of not meeting the performance targets set at the season’s outset.
