A tragic incident reported by the Lagos State Police, a 19-year-old boy named Adeyemi has died after allegedly being fatally beaten by his father. According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was reported to the Alagbado Police Division on Tuesday.
It’s reported that the father, identified as Olumide, inflicted a severe injury on his son’s right side using a shovel during a confrontation over undisclosed reasons. Adeyemi was promptly rushed to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, the injury worsened, leading to his transfer to General Hospital Ikeja.
Despite medical efforts, Adeyemi succumbed to complications arising from a tetanus infection, as confirmed by attending medical personnel. The police detectives have visited the scene, and the case is currently under active investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event
