The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the tragic death of a 61-year-old man, who was electrocuted during a flood incident.

Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shared the news on his X handle on Thursday, revealing that the incident occurred on Wednesday during heavy rainfall in the Orile-Iganmu area of the state.

“During the rain yesterday in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year-old man, while wading through the floods, held on to a street light pole and sadly got electrocuted,” Hundeyin stated.
