Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad has made a substantial offer to Atalanta for forward Ademola Lookman, proposing an annual salary close to €11 million for the player, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra.
Transfer expert Rudy Galetti revealed that Al-Ittihad has also tabled a €30 million bid for Lookman’s transfer, with negotiations ongoing between the clubs.
Lookman recently shone in the UEFA Europa League final, scoring a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen and helping his team secure their first European trophy. Despite his impressive performance, Lookman is not in a hurry to leave Atalanta or European football, but the significant financial incentives from Al-Ittihad are tempting.
Since joining Atalanta from Leipzig in the summer of 2022 for €9.35 million, Lookman has been a key player, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in 45 matches last season. The 26-year-old’s performances have caught the attention of several top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Juventus, and multiple Premier League teams.
Lookman has scored 32 goals in 78 matches across all competitions for Atalanta. While he is content with his current club, he is open to exploring his options ahead of the pre-season. His contract with Atalanta runs until 2026.
