Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that navigating the summer transfer market can be “tricky.” In a recent interview with ESPN, Arteta emphasized his commitment to strengthening every department of the squad.
The Gunners are reportedly in talks for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori, although their interest in Benjamin Sesko was thwarted when the Slovenia striker opted to renew his contract with RB Leipzig.
When asked about Arsenal’s plans for the transfer window, Arteta said, “I think both ways. There are things that we have to improve, that’s for sure, and we are going to try to do. But the market is tricky.”
He continued, “We have been very aggressive, we are very determined, and we have a clear idea of what we want to do. It will come down to finding the right agreements at the right time.”
