The Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reached an agreement to resume visa issuance for Nigerian passport holders wishing to travel to the UAE. This announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

Idris stated, “Nigeria has been in discussions with the UAE regarding visa issues for Nigerian passport holders traveling to the UAE. An agreement has been reached, and effective from today, July 15th, Nigerian passport holders can obtain visas to travel to the UAE.”

Further details will be provided in an official statement later today. However, Idris confirmed that the agreement is in effect immediately, allowing Nigerians to once again travel to the UAE with valid visas.
