In an interview with Daily Wire, Musk described his son’s transition as a result of what he calls the “woke-mind virus,” expressing regret and frustration over the situation.
Musk disclosed that he was coerced into signing documents for Xavier’s gender transition under the threat of potential suicide if he did not consent. The billionaire entrepreneur lamented that his son is “dead,” attributing this to the influence of what he perceives as a pervasive cultural shift.
“I was essentially tricked into signing documents for one of my older boys… This was before I had really any understanding of what was going on,” Musk said. He further explained, “There was a lot of confusion and you know, I was told, oh he might commit suicide…”
Musk’s comments reflect a broader clash over social issues, particularly concerning gender identity. His outspoken criticism of what he terms the “woke-mind virus” aligns with his support for conservative viewpoints, including his backing of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Trump, known for his controversial positions on LGBTQ+ issues, has pledged to implement policies that critics argue are discriminatory.
