A father and his son were injured on Tuesday morning when a commercial bus lost control on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. The incident was confirmed by Adekunle Ajibade, the South-West Zonal Commander of the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).

According to Ajibade, the accident occurred around 6:45 am near the Tollgate. The bus, traveling from Sango to Lagos, suffered brake failure and struck the man and his son as they were crossing the road. The father, who has a vision impairment, was being guided by his son when the unfortunate event happened.

Both victims sustained various injuries and were promptly taken to the State Hospital in Ota for treatment. Thankfully, no fatalities were reported.

Ajibade emphasized the importance of vehicle maintenance and urged motorists to ensure their vehicles are in proper working condition before hitting the road. He also advised drivers to avoid excessive speeding to prevent such accidents.
