Nigerian comedian and skit maker Chukwuebuka Amuzie, better known as Brain Jotter, has addressed recent concerns regarding his viral dance challenge set to Mike Ejeagha’s 1983 hit song ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo’. The challenge, which has garnered massive attention with over 29 million views on Instagram and nearly 20 million on TikTok, has sparked discussions about copyright and profit.

Amidst accusations of potential exploitation, Brain Jotter clarified that he did not profit from the song or the viral challenge. He stated that the widespread speculation about him making money from the song was unfounded. In a heartfelt response shared in a viral video, Brain Jotter explained that the N2 million he gave to the 93-year-old Ejeagha was entirely from his own resources and not linked to any financial gain from the challenge.

The comedian emphasized that his gesture was purely philanthropic. “I appreciate the concerns and the desire to ensure that Ejeagha is properly valued for his work,” he said. “However, I want to make it clear that no profit was made from this song by me. The N2 million was a personal donation to honor and support him, not a profit-driven move.”
