Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has criticized Nigerians who circulated false information claiming that veteran actor Olu Jacobs had passed away.

The rumors about Jacobs’ death spread online on Sunday without any official confirmation. Reacting to the unfounded news on social media, Henshaw, who serves as the Director of Communications for the Actors Guild of Nigeria, expressed her frustration on X.com, writing, “How you people put up RIP posts about someone who is still alive, year in and year out, is very sickening. You do this to this great man and his family all the time! It is all shades of wrong! Stop, for goodness sake! Uncle Olu Jacobs is alive!”

In response to an X.com user inquiring about the source of the false information, Henshaw mentioned that some people had started calling Jacobs’ wife, Joke Silva, over the rumor. “Who knows? And no one will bother to confirm? Imagine people calling Aunty Joke up and down! Haba!” she exclaimed.

PUNCH Online previously reported that Nigerian columnist Betty Irabor also debunked the rumors of Jacobs’ death. “Olu Jacob is well and alive. Please ignore all rumors of his passing. He is alive, please,” she affirmed.
