Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, has called on governments at all levels and donor agencies to increase investment in Nigeria’s health and education sectors.

Speaking at Grimard College of Nursing Sciences, Anyigba, Kogi State, Mr Obi emphasized the importance of investing in the training of nurses to prevent a looming shortage in the healthcare sector.

“I have consistently urged governments at all levels to prioritize investment in health and education, and I appeal to donor agencies to join in this effort,” Mr Obi stated. He expressed concern over the potential shortage of nurses and stressed the need for proactive measures through enhanced training.

“Our commitment is to build a New Nigeria where every citizen has access to quality healthcare and education,” he affirmed.
