Stanley Iheanacho, the former Golden Eaglets striker, has officially joined Portuguese Liga 2 club Clube Deportivo de Mafra. The 19-year-old forward signed a five-year contract, committing to the club until June 2029.

Iheanacho made the switch from Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland. Despite an impressive start, scoring four goals on his debut in a cup match against Aabenraa BK in September 2023, he did not make any league appearances for Midtjylland.

Last season, Iheanacho was instrumental in Midtjylland’s U-19 youth league victory, netting 12 goals in 22 appearances and featuring in four UEFA Youth League matches. His move to CD Mafra marks an exciting new chapter in his promising career.
