President Joe Biden, the Democratic Party candidate in the upcoming US election, has accused billionaire Elon Musk of attempting to buy electoral victory for Republican candidate Donald Trump. This comes after Musk’s recent pledge to donate to a new fund backing Trump for President.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Musk plans to commit approximately $45 million each month to the pro-Trump fund.

Reacting to this news, Biden expressed his frustration, stating he was “sick” of Musk and other billionaires trying to influence the November election in favor of Trump. He urged Americans to contribute to his campaign fund to counter this influence.

On Thursday, Biden tweeted: “I’m sick of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election. And if you agree, pitch in here.”

This controversy follows Musk’s recent public endorsement of Trump, which came after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.

The upcoming election on November 5th will see Trump running against incumbent President Joe Biden, marking America’s first rematch election in almost 70 years.
