In a shocking incident that has gripped Baguio City, Philippines, a 55-year-old woman allegedly severed her husband’s penis after he reportedly moaned another woman’s name during sex. The couple were in the midst of making love last week when the husband’s utterance triggered a furious reaction from his wife.
According to police reports, the enraged wife waited until her husband fell asleep before grabbing a 10-inch kitchen knife and cutting off his penis. Disturbing images released by the police show the severed tip and part of the shaft lying on the mattress, with specks of blood.
Neighbors, alerted by the man’s screams, rushed him to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of doctors to reattach the severed organ, they were unsuccessful.
The wife did not attempt to flee and was arrested by officers from the Baguio City Police Station. She was reportedly wearing pink Mickey Mouse pajamas at the time of her arrest. A spokesman for the police station said the attack was motivated by jealousy, with the wife accusing her husband of being a womanizer.
“My husband was saying his mistress’s name, not mine. I was influenced by alcohol, but I knew what I was doing,” the wife told police. She added that she had been trying to charge her husband with adultery but lacked the evidence to do so.
The wife is currently detained at the Baguio City Police Station on suspicion of mutilation. If convicted, she faces a penalty of between 12 to 40 years in prison under Philippine law.
The incident has sparked widespread discussion about the severe consequences of jealousy and the importance of addressing marital issues without resorting to violence. As the community reels from the news, the case serves as a stark reminder of the tragic outcomes that can result from unchecked emotions and unresolved conflicts.
