A 58-year-old man has tragically lost his life while undergoing a 19-day dry fasting in the Alagbado area of Lagos State. The incident, which occurred on Monday, was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday.

The man’s younger brother, who reported the incident to the Alagbado Police Division, disclosed that his brother had been observing the rigorous fasting for spiritual reasons before he was found dead at around 6:00 a.m. No foul play is suspected in the death, according to the police, and the family has requested to take custody of the body for burial.
