Afrobeat superstar Davido has expressed his admiration for his father, Adedeji Adeleke, following a generous donation of N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church. The donation, made in memory of Davido’s late mother, Esther Adeleke, took place during a special remembrance service at the church’s headquarters in Lagos on Sunday.
The event, which attracted significant attention online, saw the attendance of several high-profile figures, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun. The viral video of the event also featured notable personalities such as media mogul Dele Momodu and members of the Osun State Executive Council.
Reacting to the video on Instagram, Davido highlighted his father’s longstanding commitment to supporting both the church and educational causes. “Anything Church or education, no worry, you don cash out,” the singer wrote, underscoring his father’s philanthropic spirit.
In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram story, Davido further expressed his admiration for his father, saying, “My dear father inspires me every day! Love this man right here.”
