The incident, which took place at 2 a.m. last week, saw Hamagan attacked with knives and cutlasses, leaving him with serious wounds on his head and back.

The assailants, who flashed a torchlight into Hamagan’s eyes during the attack, stole his laptop, iPad, iPhone, and other valuables. Despite the injuries, Hamagan was rushed to Minna General Hospital, where he received medical care and was later discharged.

Speaking to newsmen in Minna, Hamagan expressed his shock over the attack. “Despite the injuries they gave me, I still thank God for sparing my life. They also threatened during their operation that I should remain silent as my entire house has been surrounded by their colleagues. And, if I do anything funny, they will kill me,” he recounted.
