Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, celebrated a milestone in his family as he gave his daughter, Ifeatu Adaora Soludo, in marriage on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The traditional ceremony, held in his hometown of Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, was a significant event, marking the first marriage of a female in the Soludo family in 142 years.

This extraordinary occasion was attended by several dignitaries, including top government officials and members of the in-laws’ family from Onitsha. Soludo, reflecting on the event, attributed the rarity of female births in his family over the past three generations as the reason for this long gap between marriages. He expressed his gratitude to God for blessing him with four daughters, breaking what he described as a “jinx.”
