The Imo State Police Command has deployed heightened security measures at the federal and state secretariats, as well as other public institutions, following threats of attack by criminal elements in Owerri, the state capital. The move is aimed at preventing any potential assaults and ensuring the safety of civil servants and the general public.

State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, along with his management team, made a reassuring visit to both the Federal and State Secretariats to address the concerns of civil servants in light of recent threats purportedly issued by the proscribed IPOB/ESN terrorist group.

During the visit, CP Danjuma engaged directly with the civil servants, offering them assurances of the Command’s commitment to their protection. He detailed the deployment of well-equipped operatives and the implementation of enhanced security strategies to maintain a safe working environment across the state.
