Police in Nasarawa State have apprehended a woman identified as Khadija Umar, also known as “Naira,” along with her two sons, for their alleged involvement in a series of housebreaking and theft operations. The arrest was made by operatives from the Angwan Lambu Division, following an investigation into a string of burglaries that had plagued the area.

Khadija Umar is accused of masterminding the crimes, scouting targeted homes, and monitoring the movements of residents. Once the coast was clear, she reportedly enlisted her sons and two other accomplices—who are still at large—to carry out the thefts.

The police have recovered a significant number of stolen items from the suspects, including two television sets, two 6×6 mattresses, a gas cooker, a 12kg cylinder, a standing fan, a GoTV decoder, cooking pots, an electric jug, a refrigerator, and solar panels. These items are believed to have been stolen from various residences in the vicinity.
