The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the identity of the popular crossdresser, known as ‘Abuja Area Mama,’ who was tragically murdered earlier this month. The lifeless body of the crossdresser was discovered on the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in the early hours of August 8, sending shockwaves through the community.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by the FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased is 33-year-old Ifeanyi Chukwu-Agah Benedict, a native of Afikpo North Local Government Area in Ebonyi State. Chukwu-Agah resided in Dapé, a neighborhood within the Karmo Area of Abuja.
The police have contacted the family of the deceased, who are now cooperating with authorities to provide additional information as the investigation continues. The circumstances surrounding the murder remain unclear, but the police are determined to bring those responsible to justice.
