Favour Igiebor, a Nigerian woman from Edo State, found herself under national scrutiny after a video of her tearing her husband’s international passport at Lagos State International Airport went viral. Following the incident, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) initiated an inquiry to understand the circumstances surrounding her actions.

On Monday, NIS announced the launch of an investigation, which quickly escalated by Thursday when Igiebor was arrested and transported to Abuja for further questioning. The incident, captured on video and widely shared across social media platforms, shows her being escorted by immigration officers upon her arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
