Activist and social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, has stated that he will not honor the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invitation to Lagos, following allegations of bribery involving popular socialite Bobrisky. The EFCC had invited both VeryDarkMan and Bobrisky to its Lagos office to investigate claims that Bobrisky allegedly paid ₦15 million to drop money laundering charges.
VeryDarkMan, however, expressed concerns about traveling to Lagos, citing safety reasons and his distrust of the EFCC’s handling of the matter. He insisted that the EFCC should conduct the investigation at their headquarters in Abuja.
“You’re telling me to come to Lagos, while the EFCC headquarters is in Abuja. I’m not going to Lagos because I don’t have ₦15 million to pay for anything. I don’t trust them, and I won’t be framed,” VeryDarkMan stated on Wednesday.
He further accused the EFCC of not thoroughly investigating their own officers before reaching out to him and demanded that they first look into the activities of the officers who managed Bobrisky’s case.
Bobrisky, on the other hand, denied all allegations, describing the purported audio as fake and insisting that he did not pay any bribe.
