Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has declared that his team will approach their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualifying matches against Libya with the intensity of a “World Cup final.” The two-legged encounter begins at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, October 11, before the teams face off again in Benina four days later.

Speaking on the crucial nature of the fixture, Eguavoen emphasized the need for total focus and commitment from his players, stating, “We play against Libya back-to-back, and we will approach it the same way we handled our previous games. But game 3 (against Libya) is a World Cup final for us. No game will be easy, but we will do everything possible to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.”
