Libya’s head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri, has expressed concerns about his team’s lack of preparedness for their upcoming AFCON 2025 qualifying matches against Nigeria. Al-Hadiri, speaking during a press conference, admitted that injuries, suspensions, and key players boycotting the matches have severely impacted Libya’s preparations.

“We have not yet reached the required level of readiness to face a strong team like Nigeria,” said Al-Hadiri. “The absence of several players during our first training sessions has made it difficult to establish a comprehensive tactical plan.”

The Mediterranean Knights will face the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, with a return leg in Benina four days later.
