Residents of Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, have lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his transformative and people-oriented projects, particularly the newly constructed general hospital, which they say will provide better healthcare services for the community.
During a project tour organized by Consolidated Transporters under the umbrella of Solution Marshals, residents expressed their satisfaction with the governor’s developmental strides, which also include 12 kilometers of internal roads in Okpoko and a multi-billion naira flyover in Ekwulobia, Aguata LGA.
Mrs. Ruth Ngene, a longtime resident of Okpoko, shared her joy over the new hospital, noting that it has alleviated the burden of traveling long distances for medical care. “This hospital is an answered prayer. It helps pregnant women, children, and others who need emergency healthcare,” she said.
The Vice President-General of Okpoko, Mr. Jude Ezenwa, described the projects as life-changing for the community, which was once one of the largest slums in West Africa. He commended the governor for turning the area into “a new heaven” with improved healthcare, street-lit internal roads, and other infrastructure.
Similarly, Mr. Daniel Umeh, a resident of Ekwulobia, emphasized the importance of the new flyover, calling it a “strategic link” that connects Anambra to Imo and Abia states, enhancing transportation and economic activity in the region.
Solution Marshals’ Coordinator, Mr. Osita Obi, also praised Governor Soludo for his commitment to the people, stating that taxpayers’ money is being effectively used for public good. He encouraged Anambra residents to support the governor for a second term to sustain the momentum of development.
