Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 winner, Kingsley Sule, popularly known as Kellyrae, has opened up about his unexpected victory and his financial background. During an interview, Kellyrae admitted that, despite earning millions over time, he had never held N1 million in his bank account at any given moment before winning the show.
Reflecting on his time in the BBNaija house, Kellyrae confessed that he never expected to win the competition. “I was just praying that my wife and I would last beyond the second week,” he said, noting how he wanted to leave a lasting impression on the audience. Even when he made it past the third week, he still couldn’t believe he could win.
Kellyrae also addressed rumors that not revealing his marital status early on in the competition was a strategy, clarifying that it was to help him connect with fellow housemates. He explained that announcing his status as a married man could have distanced some of the contestants from him and his wife, Kassia.
Now navigating his newfound fame, Kellyrae acknowledged that he and his wife had prepared for the changes that would come with his BBNaija win. He emphasized their strong relationship, built over years of courting before getting married in February 2024.
