Comedian Dee One has taken aim at social media critic, VeryDarkMan, accusing him of hypocrisy after receiving a ₦100 million donation from music mogul Don Jazzy for his newly launched NGO. The criticism comes just weeks after VeryDarkMan publicly expressed disappointment in Don Jazzy for financially supporting Bobrisky while he was in prison.
In a viral Instagram video, Dee One questioned VeryDarkMan’s integrity, pointing out the contradiction in his actions. He noted that after condemning Don Jazzy for giving money to Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan had no issue accepting the massive donation from the same individual for his NGO.
“I am disappointed in Don Jazzy, yet you collected money from the same Don Jazzy? So that means Don Jazzy is a good person, right? He doesn’t care whether the receiver is good or bad,” Dee One said, sarcastically addressing the situation.
Dee One continued, “VeryDarkMan publicly criticized Don Jazzy for donating money to Bobrisky, yet when he needed money for his NGO, Don Jazzy gave him ₦100 million, and VeryDarkMan himself announced it. This is a good lesson for all of us that we don’t need to comment on everything. The same money you criticized when it was given to Bobrisky is now acceptable when it’s given to you?”
This incident has stirred conversations on social media about consistency, ethics, and how public figures handle financial support. Dee One’s remarks have reignited the debate on the boundaries between criticism and personal gain, with some agreeing that VeryDarkMan’s actions appear contradictory, while others defended his acceptance of the donation as a step towards supporting a noble cause.
While Don Jazzy has maintained silence on the matter, Dee One’s video has fueled reactions across social platforms, with fans and critics alike weighing in on the situation.
