In a shocking incident at a federal government-owned school in Umuahia, a female Senior Secondary student, identified as Amarachi Chibueze, allegedly bit off the tongue of her schoolmate, Adaeze, following a quarrel over food. The altercation reportedly occurred on Friday, escalating when Chibueze grabbed Adaeze by the neck before biting off part of her tongue and spitting it onto the ground.

Following the incident, the injured student was rushed to a hospital in Umuahia, where she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. Reports indicate that the school is assisting with her medical care.
