Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has debunked swirling rumors that she secretly married entertainment mogul, Farouk Umar, during her 40th birthday Thanksgiving party in Lagos. The speculations gained traction on social media after images and videos surfaced showing the duo dressed in all-white outfits and appearing close during the celebration.
Speaking out against the rumors, Toke Makinwa firmly denied any marriage to Farouk, clarifying that they share a strong friendship and nothing more. Addressing the chatter, Toke humorously remarked, “On Obasanjo’s internet, they said I got married to this guy. Farouk is my best friend. Listen, on Toke Makinwa’s internet, they said I married Farouk.”
She went on to express her gratitude for Farouk’s unwavering support during challenging times, emphasizing the depth of their friendship. “Farouk, my friend, ore mi… this is my nigga and my friend, my brother. Farouk held me down when there was nobody,” Toke added, putting the rumors to rest.
