Prominent Nigerians, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the five South-East governors, and Yoruba leader Chief Ayo Adebanjo, are set to attend the burial ceremony of the late President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu. The respected entrepreneur and politician will be laid to rest on November 1 at his country home in Attah, Imo State.

Senator Ben Obi, the Head of the Burial Planning Committee, confirmed the high-profile attendance during a press briefing in Abuja. Obi, represented by Prof. Ike Ikechukwu, Chairman of the Media Sub-committee, noted that the South-East governors have reaffirmed their support and commitment to ensuring a dignified farewell for Iwuanyanwu, whom they regard as a leader deserving of great honor.

Obi added that sensitization efforts have been ongoing to reach elder statesmen, stakeholders, and well-wishers both within and outside the country. The burial is part of a series of events in honor of Iwuanyanwu, which will culminate in his final interment.
