Former Rivers State APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole, has emphasized that peace in Rivers State can only be achieved if four influential leaders come together to resolve the ongoing political crisis. Cole made the statement on Tuesday during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show.

According to him, peace talks involving ex-Governor Peter Odili, former Governor Rotimi Amaechi, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and current Governor Siminalayi Fubara, under the supervision of President Bola Tinubu, are essential to restore stability in the state.

“There are four people who must sit at a table and decide that Rivers State is more important than personal interests. Until this happens, we won’t have peace,” Cole said. He stressed that without such a dialogue, future political tensions will escalate, especially as Fubara’s tenure nears its end.

Cole’s remarks come amid growing concerns over the recent violence following local government elections in Rivers State.
