Former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is in discussions to become the next England head coach, with sources suggesting the German tactician is keen on the role. Tuchel, who has been out of management since his departure from Chelsea, has emerged as a favorite for the position, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Football Association (FA) is said to be seriously considering Tuchel after exploring other high-profile candidates, including Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola. However, City is confident that Guardiola will remain with the club. Romano revealed that Tuchel has been open to the idea since July, and talks between the FA and the German coach are ongoing.

Tuchel, who has an impressive managerial resume, including a UEFA Champions League title with Chelsea, is seen as a strong contender to replace Lee Carsley, who currently oversees the England U21s. With Tuchel’s tactical expertise and experience at the top level, he is viewed as the ideal candidate to lead the Three Lions into the next phase of their footballing journey.
