Popular comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, widely known as Seyi Law, recently shared a spine-chilling experience, recounting how he discovered he was being monitored spiritually through a pair of shoes gifted to him by a close friend. The revelation, which occurred during a 2016 prayer vigil, has since made Seyi Law wary of accepting gifts, given the hidden intentions that may accompany them.

In a post on his X handle (formerly Twitter), Seyi Law recounted how, on March 2, 2016, during a midnight vigil in his home, he felt an urgent warning from God. “As I prayed, God told me there was something in my house that was being used to monitor me spiritually,” he shared. Seyi Law later identified the object as a pair of shoes gifted by a friend. His wife promptly disposed of the shoes, burning them. Shortly after, the couple welcomed their first child, an event he associates with newfound spiritual freedom.
