Afrobeats superstar Davido has reaffirmed his dominance in the Nigerian music scene, celebrating his retention of a Spotify Nigeria record even after the release of Wizkid’s highly anticipated album Morayo. Despite breaking several other records on the platform, none of the songs from Morayo managed to surpass Davido’s achievement of occupying the top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for two consecutive days with his album Timeless.

The recognition came via a post by music-monitoring platform The Data Dash on X, which stated, “@davido remains the only artist to occupy the Top 16 spots on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs Chart for 2 consecutive days, with all new songs from his album ‘Timeless’.” Davido reposted the message with a simple yet emphatic response: “Remains the only!”
