Renowned celebrity stylist and designer Veekee James recently shared her painful journey of unrequited love and betrayal, revealing how she devoted her time and resources to a past relationship only to be deceived. During an open conversation with Pastor Bolaji Idowu at Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), Veekee recounted how she traveled from Akwa Ibom to Lagos as a young student, eager to support her then-boyfriend’s business dreams.

Veekee explained that her financial support went beyond casual generosity; she used her own money to stock a beauty shop for him and was even involved in setting up the business with his mother. Her boyfriend had offered her a share of the shop’s earnings, but she refused, giving out of pure love rather than expecting returns. However, despite her sacrifices, Veekee later discovered that he was cheating with multiple women — some of whom she unknowingly cooked for.

Reflecting on the experience, she shared, “I did so much, believing I was supporting a partner, but I’ve learned to let a man be a man.” Fans responded with empathy, offering advice and opinions on her experience.
