Popular Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has revealed her reasons for blocking Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May Edochie, on social media. The decision follows an outpouring of toxic comments and trolling by May’s fans, whom Ogbodo accuses of celebrating a recent robbery incident at her boutique as “karma” for supporting Yul Edochie’s second wife, Judy Austin.
In a candid series of Instagram posts, Ogbodo expressed frustration over the unrelenting attacks from May’s supporters, whom she describes as “toxic fans.” According to Ogbodo, the harassment intensified after she publicly lamented the robbery at her store. Trolls flooded her social media with comments, claiming the incident was “karma” for her involvement with Yul Edochie and his new wife, Judy.
Addressing her critics, Ogbodo stated, “Toxic May Edochie fans! You people are a very toxic bunch of lunatics! Misfortune is part of life, and it’s rotational; everyone gets their turn. Thieves stole my goods, and you call it karma because I chose to mind my business?”
Ogbodo also explained that she decided to block May after observing that May “seems to enjoy the toxicity” surrounding her situation. She added, “I blocked May because her fans wouldn’t let me like her pictures in peace, and she hasn’t told them to stop. It’s exhausting dealing with people who think they own social media.”
This ongoing clash between Ogbodo and May’s supporters highlights the complexities of social media fandom and the impact of personal decisions on public figures. Despite her frustrations, Ogbodo remains defiant, urging fans to stop monitoring her posts if they feel so strongly against her choices.
