The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take place on Wednesday, January 27, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria, who finished as runners-up in the last edition after a 2-1 loss to hosts Cote d’Ivoire, will be looking to claim their fourth AFCON title when the tournament kicks off in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
This draw will reveal Nigeria’s group-stage opponents as the West African giants prepare to improve on their last outing and contend for continental glory.
CAF confirmed the draw date during its executive committee meeting in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, signaling the start of the journey for the 24 qualified teams to compete for Africa’s most coveted football trophy.
