Cameroon defender Flavien Enzo Boyomo has backed Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman to clinch the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award. Lookman, who plays for Atalanta, is among the final five nominees alongside Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi, and Ronwen Williams.
Boyomo, currently with Spanish club Osasuna, believes Lookman’s achievements this year, including winning the Europa League, set him apart from the competition.
“I believe Lookman will win the African Ballon d’Or. He has the best chance of lifting the trophy this year,” Boyomo told Actu Cameroon.
The CAF Men’s Player of the Year award is one of Africa’s most prestigious honors, and Lookman’s standout performances have positioned him as a strong contender.
