The Society for Planet and Prosperity (SPP) has announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Ekweozoh, mni, as Senior Fellow on Technology Innovation. Dr. Ekweozoh, a seasoned environmental policy expert and AI specialist, is tasked with driving SPP’s vision of leveraging innovative technologies for climate solutions and sustainable development.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Ekweozoh has been instrumental in shaping Nigeria’s environmental policies, including pioneering the country’s first Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for climate change mitigation and adaptation, and coordinating the Methanol Fuel Production Policy approved by the Federal Executive Council.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Ekweozoh stated, “This is an opportunity to harness technology for transformative environmental research and policy solutions.”
SPP President, Prof. Chukwumerije Okereke, highlighted Dr. Ekweozoh’s vast expertise as pivotal in advancing SPP’s impactful environmental advocacy across Nigeria and beyond.
