The Federal Government has announced free train rides for Nigerians traveling during the festive period, starting from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the outcome of Monday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at easing transportation for citizens as they celebrate Christmas and New Year across the country.
This announcement comes as part of the government’s efforts to provide relief and ensure a stress-free festive season for Nigerians. Train services will be available nationwide, offering free rides to passengers during the two-week period.
